Where We Work.
Madagascar
Present in Madagascar since 2007, the strategic orientation of the local EISA office aims at a better participation of women in decision-making positions and democratic processes with a focus on citizen participation.
As such, the organization has contributed to the creation of the first network of women leaders VMLF as well as to the training of women candidates for the 2013 legislative elections which were sanctioned by the access of an unprecedented number of women to the National Assembly.
Since 2014, EISA has been a key partner of the National Assembly and the Senate through its two programs of support to the Parliament, which are specifically dedicated to women MPs. This support has enabled the creation of a Women's Parliamentary Caucus.
EISA has also developed a dynamic partnership with the Ministry of Population, Social Protection and Promotion of Women through various initiatives, including the implementation of the Talily Raike project funded by UNPBF.
Finally, EISA also supports women's associations through awareness-raising, civic and voter education, and advocacy activities specifically targeting women, youth, and people with disabilities.
