Regional Forum on Civil Society Post-election follow-up on Recommendations and Electoral Reform Advocacy Initiatives

EISA held a regional forum titled "Regional forum on civil society post-election follow-up on recommendations and electoral reform advocacy initiatives" attended by 30 CSO leaders from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Mali, Ghana, Chad and Côte d'Ivoire.
The overarching objectives of the regional forum are:
- To identify existing trends of civil society post-election follow-up on recommendations and electoral reform advocacy initiatives in Africa.
- To draw lessons from the three STEP programme focus countries and beyond for the development of best practices aimed at shaping future direction for civil society post-election follow-up initiatives.
- To discuss the way forward for effective post-election follow-up initiatives.
