EISA's Balloting and Electoral Services department (BES) won an award for innovation in the use of ICT in managing elections from the World Summit on Information Services (WSIS) Award.
The broad objective of EISA's Balloting and Electoral Services Unit (BES) is to promote a culture of democracy and build the confidence of organisations and their beneficiaries in democratic electoral practices, as an essential component of good governance, within themselves and society in general. BES enhances the credibility and legitimacy of organisational elections by providing independent and impartial electoral administration, management and consultancy services. See Overview of past activities for instances of this.
The unit has a panel of professional electoral experts and officials who are located throughout South Africa. We therefore are able to deliver our services to our clients wherever they are located. We have over 20 years of cumulative experience in electoral services.
Our services are offered to a variety of organisations and statutory bodies including business, labour, government, civic associations, tertiary institutions, community based organisations, quasi-state bodies and political parties. See Overview of past activities for examples of bodies that have used our services in the past. Our services are highly dynamic and can be customised to suit different client requirements and specifications. We meet both the imperative for impartiality and the need for administrative efficiency.
Our fees depend on the clients' specifications. We structure our clients' electoral processes to meet their requirements at cost effective rates.
